Make It Sweet!
Sweetening things up a bit never hurt anyone! Are you one of those people who like to sweeten their beverages? You probably enjoy beverages that contain some sweetness. While professional bartenders all over the world utilize a variety of artificial and natural sweeteners, how convenient would it be if you could create some of these sweeteners at home on your own? Here are a few recommendations -
1. Lime cordial
What you require:
Sugar - 1 cup
Water - 1.5 cups
Freshly squeezed lime juice - 4 large limes
Lime peel - grated
Citric acid - 1 tbsp
How to prepare it:
1. Combine the sugar and citric acid in a bowl.
2. Boil the water in a pan.
3. Add the sugar from the bowl once it has dissolved completely.
4. Reduce the heat.
5. Add the lime juice and the grated lime peel.
6. After 2 minutes of simmering, turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool fully.
7. When it has cooled, put it in a jar and put it in the fridge for the night. The following morning, remove the peel and keep your newly made lime cordial in a clean bottle.
2. Plain Syrup
The simplicity of making this syrup may be implied by the name alone. Let's look at it.
What you require:
Sugar - 1 cup
Water - 1.5 cups
How to make it:
1. Fill a pan with water, then let it come to a boil.
2. When it begins to boil, fully include the sugar and whisk until dissolved
3. After it dissolves, turn the heat off after two to three minutes. Before storage, let it finish cooling.
3. Grenadine
French cordials are delicious and easy to prepare.
What you require:
2 pomegranates
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
How to create it:
1. Remove the seeds from the pomegranate after peeling them.
2. Add them and some water to a juicer, then press the juice out. Filter the juice.
3. Put the pomegranate juice in a pan and heat it until it begins to boil.
